Welcome to the Yun Hoi Wing Chun Kuen Gwoon Website!
Sifu Zopa Gyatso (Yun Hoi) and his students welcome you to the Yun Hoi Gwoon website!
The site has a two-fold aim:
(i) to present some information about Yun Hoi Yuen Kay San Mainland Wing Chun Kuen, to help inform those who may be interested in fully committing to exclusively learning this rare art;
(ii) predominantly, it exists to keep current Yun Hoi Gwoon students posted on club activities and to provide information for them in the extensive members' section.
Yun Hoi Wing Chun Kuen is not a commercial public school open to any and every applicant. We are a small, high quality, semi-private gwoon run in a traditional fashion in Canberra, Australia. Sifu is happy to receive expressions of interest from genuine seekers of the true art who hold, and express, appropriate attitudes and are prepared for the commitment to this art. We are looking for a select group of people (men, women or adolescents of secondary school age) ideally with no previous martial arts experience (it is far easier for you to learn if we do not to have to correct incorrect movements, powering methods and ideas) to join a small class. Classes have a high ratio of NCAS qualified coaches who are also qualified in the very distinct process of becoming traditional Chinese gung fu instructors. They will train you to become, if you attend regularly, have appropriate attitudes, and apply yourself fully, spectacular and elite gung fu practitioners respected by the Chinese. If you can meet these criteria, please feel free to contact us! For several sound reasons, one of which is we simply do not have the time to entertain them, we do not have visitors who are simply curious.
After you have explored the site, and if you are a genuine applicant, you may wish to avail yourself of our contact details to discuss with Sifu your interest in Yuen Kay San Wing Chun and possibly arrange a free trial lesson to assess your interest in continuing and your suitability.
Neither Yuen Kay San nor Koo Lo Pin Sun Wing Chun are freely available in the Western world. When one sees and experiences Yuen Kay San Wing Chun and its sister art, Koo Lo Pin Sun Wing Chun, in their purest forms, it is quickly appreciated that they are simply quite different to the Hong Kong version of Wing Chun commonly very popular and publicly taught in the West.
